Greetings!
Stephanie Waxman, a native Santa Barbaran pictured above, is one of thousands of
people diagnosed with leukemia each year. She and many
others are in need of a life-saving bone marrow transplant -- a procedure which is simple and virtually painless for the donor.
But
her donor must be a "match" meaning that a small set of genetic markers
must be similar. For more than 20 years, the National Marrow
Donation Program has maintained a database of willing donors in order to
find matches for people like Stephanie.
I,
along with my friends who support Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
through Team in Training, invite you to help us on an AGGRESSIVE search
to find a donor for Stephanie -- and others facing the same
struggle. I'll be at Casa Blanca, helping potential donors to
register. In addition, there will be a raffle where you can
win a Limited Edition Kelebek Travers® Silver Cuff ! If you are under 60 years of age, and willing to be a hero, you could save a life.
